Solar Inverters
The inverter is the brain of a solar system: it converts, optimises, protects and reports.
Overview
The brain of the solar system
Solar panels produce direct current (DC). Inverters convert it to alternating current (AC) for household, commercial and industrial use, and track the panels’ maximum power point (MPPT) to get the most energy.
Inverters also provide protection, monitoring and, in hybrid systems, battery management. We size inverters to the array and to your loads.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does MPPT mean?
Maximum power point tracking: the inverter adjusts to extract the most power from the panels as conditions change.
Do I need a hybrid inverter?
If you want battery backup, yes. For grid-only systems a standard on-grid inverter may be enough.
How long do inverters last?
Often 10 to 15 years, depending on quality and conditions.
